Costume!

So as an adult its really hard to come up with a decent costume.

I have an old brides maid dress that i want to use again, its blue. so i was thinking Cinderella.

then i remembered that its going to be cold tomorrow night, so i want to make a cloak to match it. i found this website but they are so expensive. i really just want to make my own. we will see how much time i have and how that goes. a black one would be good and versatile if i want to wear it again. but a light blue or white would be so elegant.

as far as accessories for the Cinderella costume goes i was thinking that i need a crown, or black head band. maybe some long while or blue gloves. ohh and a black choker. here are some cinder images

So the first two are the classic Cinderella. i think that since my dress is just plain blue i may need to adds some puff to it. i like the yellow picture because of the hair. i like it. i don't really know how to do updoos so maybe this will work better. the last picture just reminds me of how much i just love the whole romance that comes with the princesses.

potential christmas presents to make

a cute summer shirt that may be abe to be reduced to baby or child size; main word being maybe. another wrap skirt, an easier pattern that i had found before. a blog with a lot of free patterns, un particular a wrap dress. a cute vase idea that doesnt require a link, just a quote:

For some reason there never seems to be enough room to store stuff. I have been thinking about looking for an old hutch that i could re-do and place in our laudry room to store linens and all that kind of stuff, even some extra lass used dishes. So i decided to get some inpiration from the web.

and while out in the blog universe i found this recepie for homemade laundry deterget. She explains how to make it and the fact that it only cost a dollar for a two gallon recepie. its worth a try dont you think?

And at Martha Stewart fall decor. Katie and I have talked for decorating, we just need to do it before winter comes. No Halloween stuff, ive never reallyliked it, but definatly adding some fall or autumn decor.

Friday

A wrap skirt that looks amazing from Fits, im thinking i will add a pocket. I like pockets, if i dont have one i dont have a place for my phone. Plus skirts with pockets are in.
A cute bag that maybe i can make a few of for the kids for Christmas from bee. I dont do too well with zippers though.
And from looking at other blogs i think the big thing thats "in" is v-neck sweeter vests. maybe because they are easier to make because they dont have sleeves. i coldnt find a free pattern so im going to try it with out one. we will see how it goes.

ps Little Brenda (from God's Resort) and I went to visit my grandma this afternoon, and since we were on that side of town we couldnt help but visit my little niece Ela. Erica took some pics, so maybe she will share them and i can add them to the next post.

I love brown

I love the color brown, its such a prefect representation of fall. Happy Ocotober.
